History of Bracelet

The bracelet is a piece of jewelry that is worn around the wrist. The Bracelets may serve different uses, like being worn as an ornament. When worn as ornaments, it may have a supportive function to carry other items of decoration, like charms. Medical and identity information are marked on some bracelets like allergy bracelets, hospital patient-identification tags, and bracelet tags for newborn babies. Bracelets could also be worn to suggest a particular phenomenon, like carcinoma awareness, or for religious/cultural purposes.

If a bracelet may be a single, inflexible loop, it's often called a bangle. When it's worn around the ankle it's called an anklet or anklet. A boot bracelet is used to decorate boots. Colloquially, handcuffs are sometimes called bracelets. Bracelets are usually manufactured or made from metal, leather, bead, etc and jewelry bracelets sometimes contain jewels, rocks, wood, shells, metal, or plastic hoops, and many more materials.

The history of bracelets is as old as 5000 BC. Materials like stones and woods to serve religious and spiritual interests. From the National Geographic Society, one of the foremost recognized symbols of ancient Egypt is the Scarab Bracelet. The scarab bracelet represented re-birth and re-generation. usually, Carved scarabs were worn as jewelry and wrapped into the linen bandages of old mummies. Many myths told of the scarab god, Khepri, pushing the sun across the sky.
