All about Wristbands with its History

Wristbands or hand bands are encircling strips worn on the wrist or lower forearm. The term is often wont to ask a bracelet-like band, almost like that of a wristwatch, to the cuff or other a part of a sleeve that covers the wrist, or decorative or functional bands worn on the wrist for several different reasons. Wristbands are often worn and used similarly to event passes like lanyards to information or allow people entry to events. The wristbands are made up of material that forms loops of plastic that are placed around the wrist and are used for identification purposes for example it also demonstrating the wearer's authorization to be at a venue.


Another sort of wristband is that the sweatband; usually made from a towel-like terrycloth material. These are usually wont to wipe sweat from the forehead during sport but are known to be used as a badge or fashion statement. A practice common in the mid-1980s punk subculture was to chop the highest off of a sock and fashion the elastic into this sort of wristband.
